Bio Barrier

I just wanted to take a minute to tell everyone about a product we have at Soap Warehouse to help you with the mold and algae problems with house and roof cleaning. So that once you have cleaned the house or roof it stays clean longer.

Bio Barrier does not kill or clear away mold and algae. What Bio Barrier does is retard the re-growth of mold, algae, mildew and odor causing micro organisms from being able to come back after cleaning for up to 12 months. The length of protection is based on proper application and environmental conditions dependent on the frequency and duration of exposure to water or moisture.

Bio Barrier can be applied to any clean, dry, hard surface. You apply by just wetting the surface with the product at full strength, no dilution required. Application can be with a pump sprayer, sponge, mop, or cloth. You need to get a light but compete coverage of the surface, let dry thoroughly for 1 hour, and is best if not exposed to water for the first 24 hours. Do not drench surfaces with the product or allow it to pool. Use of excessive amount of product will not increase the effectiveness just the drying time.

Bio Barrier works buy placing a coating on the surface which does not allow spores or micro organisms to join together and grow. So when dealing with "Gloeocaspsa Magma" or roof algae, Bio Barrier separates it from its food source the asphalt shingle. Bio Barrier is also great for keeping away the green algae from the sides of vinyl homes and wood fencing that grows in areas that tend to stay damp or that do not get enough sun exposure.

You do not have to use Bio Barrier on the whole house or roof. We recommend that the areas you found that were affected during your cleaning are the areas you should treat, like the North side of a roof, under heavy shade or anywhere the sun does not reach for enough of the day. These are the areas mold and algae start and then spread out from there. Of course the whole roof or house can be treated for the maximum level of protection. Bio Barrier is available in cases of 4 -1 gals, in 5 gallon pails, and drums of 30 or 55 gallons. The most popular size, the 5 gallon pail is $61.

Of course it depends on the method you are using but we figure on average 600 sq ft per gallon. So a 5 gal pail should cover 3000 sq feet. A pail costs $61 so that is about .o2 cents per foot.

Hey guys, Ron and Mike, thanks for the shout out and bringing this post forward again. Even though the priced listed here is two years old and Bio Barrier is now $68 a 5 gallon, Anyone that calls me this month (June 2010) to order I will sell it at the 2008 price of $61/pail. Plus it is a non hazard so I will offer UPS ground shipping to the east half of the US for a flat $24 a pail for a total cost of $85. Plus I miss spoke in the first post, one gallon of Bio Barrier can cover up to 1,500 sq ft. And remember you do not have to treat the whole house, only the areas prone to having the mold and algae grow back.

Doug, Bio Barrier is a blend of EPA listed biocides in a proprietary mix of inert ingredients. There is nothing in it that is hazardous, no caustics, bleach or any then else like that. It is a growth inhibitor not a mold or algae killer, which is why it should be used after a cleaning and the surface is dry. Please go to this link ftp://soapwarehouse.biz/wwwroot/Benefits%20of%20BioBarrier.doc to read about it and follow the link attached to it to see the Data sheet. The MSDS can be down loaded with all our other sheets from the website. We also have some blog posts on Bio Barrier. You can find the blog on our site and then just enter Bio Barrier in the top search space to find all of them. Studies have been done showing Bio Barrier can last for 36 months but we like to say especially in areas that get a lot of rain to check the treatment in 6 - 12 months. I personally have seen it last over 18 months with no regrowth. We also just created a customer brochure for our clients to use for their own customers. Any one that orders can be sent the file to use at no charge, print as many as you would like and they can be personalized to your business.
