There are several brands of 12 volt, chemically resistant roof cleaning pumps. Here is a Shurflo 100 PSI 1.8 GPM pump http://www.shurflo.com/pages/new_industrial/Industrial/gen _industrial/genind_doc_sum/8000-543-138.html This pump has been a long timefavorite of Florida Tile Roof Cleaners. It's relatively low flow and high 100 PSI presure allows a fine "misting" of tile roof cleaning chemicals, avoiding run off problems. The 100 PSI allows it to shoot better then the 60 PSI or 45 PSI Shurflo's.

the 12 volt is the best way I have seen but I am ready to park them in the shed and bolt together the NEW system, I hope to have it together by next weeend at the Bama RT
That would be great to see the new system next weekend when I am in Alabama at the Prattville Round Table.

when you talk about rinsing, do you just hook up to plain water? Second when you say it lasts 6 months at that point is it beyond rebuild?

Excellent advise on trying to have at least 2 pumps. Nothing is worse than baking out in the sun Cleaning a Roof and your pump goes south. I have my Comet Pump which runs off a 5.5 Honda and I also have a FlowJet pump settup and a Back-up for that one. ALWAYS Rinse out your Roof Cleaning pumps!!!!!
