Copper Sulfate

Has anyone ever mixed Copper Sulfate in their Mix? I use this in my pond for Algae control. It's kind of expensive but may be a better way to help clean roofs. Any thought/comments.

Just how old is SH at your supplier?

Besides the SH tester kit that can only test up to 10%. Is there any other special tricks of the trade you guys know of to find out if you are getting fresh or old SH? I went to my local pool place and they said it was a week old and only available in 1 gallon jugs.

I had been downstreaming SH on pavers but noticed that it wasnt effective enough on the really algae covered pavers.
