I didn't see any information on the search for gift cards. Do you feel there would be any value in selling/ advertising gift cards for roof cleaning. Since we are shut down for the winter, it might be a way of getting some cash in the off season. I'm not sure the idea would work.

Hey Bruce, although I have done house washes and roof cleaning "purchased" as gifts for house warming and a few other occasions,..I don't think gift cards would be a big seller. But then again my marketing skills leave a lot to be desired,Ha,Ha,.. Plus, I wouldn't be much into going and doing a job where the pay is most likely long gone. But all you can do is try it I guess.

I know what you mean, Jeff. I also suck at marketing. I've learned a lot on RCIA, but I still feel like I'm "throwing money" at different things.

Has anyone advertised in "golfers digest" by premier publications? They have a magizine that gets sent to country clubs in your area (5 nice country clubs in Rochester, NY). A half size page (approx 4 1/2x 5 1/2") color for $350.00. Its delivered to the country clubs 4 times a year- approx 5,000 per quarter. If I get one job, it more than pays for the ad.

This has b een discussed several time before. Not very productive. Should be something in the search bar.

Forget about Golf Digest Pubications Bruce, they take your money, and give you nothing!

I have had success in coupon magazines like Val Pak, etc. Since you are so bored, go to every paint store in your area, and put out some cards!

Yea Bruce, another market area you can target if you haven't already done so is realtors. Realtors are great sales people to have on your side. They recommend it to the seller and that's about all it takes.

I've made a good connection with Remax in particular and also a few other smaller realtors. Just drop in, introduce yourself and drop off a couple pictures and a card and leave. They will call when they need you. I wash houses as well as do roofs and realtors like those services for the curb appeal. You'll end up with deck cleaning and concrete cleaning as well. Don't be surprised if your first realtor customer is one of the agents themselves, they like to see the value at their own expense first and also the quality of your work, promptness,etc....
