A tip I have for members.
I only pay for advertising online in 3 places. My website, Angies List and PressureWashing.Net
I am pretty happy with pressurewashing.net.
I rank like #2 on page 1 Google, in a search for "Pressure Washing Port Charlotte,Fl"
The place is pressurewashing.net
His name is Cullen Adams and he's really working on this site!
I don't recommend much, but I recommend this!

I have come to know that the average homeowner is NOT educated on roof cleaning and that when they do an online search when they need a roof cleaned, they thing "PRESSURE WASHING"

Most of my calls simply say "I need my roof pressure washed"

I simply reply, I can clean it for $450.00"

Sometimes I explain-[usually if it's a high bid] the benefit of softwashing over pressure washing.

Pressure Washing will get 10 times the hits of softwashing or non-pressure roof cleaning.

Most people have no clue. It's all pressure washing to the general public.

Maybe its a Southern thing. I cant recall anyone ever asking me that term. "power wash" is far more frequent here. I am noticing a marked increase in requests for "softwash" this year. I like that. Chuck can you pm me what your paying for the pressure.net link?

Might be tile vs. asphalt thing, we never get calls for pressure power washing, but we have not done enough to promote it on the net. I think calls maybe 60% roof cleaning, 25% house soft-wash, 10% awning cleaning 5% pressure/power. Pressure and power are not really what we here with our 80/20 residential/commercial base.

We get good leads from the BBB.

I need to learn more about Angie's list.

I hadn't thought of that! confuse

Here in Florida 90% or more call and ask about Pressure Washing or Pressure Cleaning, a small % say Power Washing. The only ones who ask about a "soft-wash , Chemical Cleaning, No Pressure" roof cleaning are those who already read my website and found me online.

You are right.  I get 40 to 50 percent of my roofs from people that asked for pressure washing.

I have an A+ rating with the BBB. http://www.bbb.org/west-florida/business-reviews/pressure-washing-companies/chuck-bergman-in-port-charlotte-fl-90024694

I don't join, that way they can't manipulate me for money.

This news report is interesting!

Ya, we have been talking here on RCIA for a few years, at least, about educating the public on how roofs should be cleaned.

The reason for that, is that they all had been having them pressure washed! My guess is most still do!

I pressure washed many hundreds before I started cleaning them all with our method, myself.

I bet if a Florida poll was taken and the public was asked "If your roof looks dirty and you would like it cleaned, what type of business would you call to clean it"

I BET, 90% would say a "Pressure Cleaner" a "Pressure Washing Company" A few  "Power Washing"

I feel sure, less than 10% would say a "Softwasher" A Non-Pressure Roof Cleaning Company" etc.

Part of the reason for that, is that chemical cleaning is new-in comparison to pressure washing. Part is that most people have hired a pressure washer to clean other portions of their homes already through the years.

I KNOW, most of the people who call me, say "I need my roof pressure washed" NOT "CLEANED"-PRESSURE WASHED.

I agree that "pressure washing" tends to be a southern thing, and power wash is a more northern & Midwest term.
