Need to put a check list to cross of some of those things to do:

Haves:

Are you all READY? Going to be a great year!!!

I like to have a "points of concern" or reminder list of issues that may be present at most jobs .

For example:
Broken or cracked windows need pointed out.

Any dead or dying vegetation.

etc...

Some people don't even see these things themselves until you point them out,..OR,..they get out looking at the job later after you've left and figure you must have done the damage.

I tend to talk to customers for long periods of time,.. and sometimes through the course of chatting about everything but roof cleaning,... these simple things get left out if I don't have a reminder of them.

I just keep a laminated list in my work van,..you dont have to "study" it on every job,..after while it just penetrates your brain from starring at you constantly.

I also keep a dry erase board in my work van for taking quick notes or reminders. It is the size of a sheet of notebook paper and has magnetics on the back which makes it nice to just stick it to the safety/cargo barrier.

I use an Ipad with wifi and 3G connections so I can go right through my list and show examples of work, quote forms, etc. The picture gallery works great for them to look at while I am walking the house or just talking to them.

Good points Jeff.

Also, as far a "quick reminders" go, don't forget the viability of your camera as kinda of a digital notepad. We take pictures of things we need to remind HO of, plants of concern, etc.

Some things aren't often needed but still nice to keep on hand. Things like a cordless drill. I keep an assortment of stainless screws for simple repairs. I also keep pop rivets on hand for fixing downspouts. Some times just touching downspouts will make them come apart,Ha,Ha...kinda' like you were set up.

I also keep green craft wire on hand as well for rehanging wind chimes and such. Sometimes the wire thats on hanging pieces is about to break and it's just an added benefit to the customer.

I also have purpose made ladder leg levelers. I don't like the kind that are affixed to the ladder all the time. And I don't like scrounging for items on the job.
