Yes I built the trailer its 4x8 once I put the hose on the reel it wont look so big. I had this reel for a few years now I did not buy it for roof cleaning Im just trying to use what I got it is 12 v and its better than not having one.

I agree with you.  A 12V electric reel is the way to go.  Is that a Cox reel.

I just read your last post Happy Birthday. I believe it is a cox reel it came with a compressor I bought a few years ago and was used for air hose. Just wondering I have a lot of 3/4 inch air hose that can be used as a water hose and is good for up to 300 psi does any one no if it will work for roof cleaning if i get thr right fittings.

Jezzzz that tank looks like a man who just had a heart by-pass! Looks intimidating! Love the reels....$$$

Thanks Dwayne.  Yes the reels cost some $$$, 600 approx.  It takes money to make money.  You can either work hard or be hard at work the way I see it.  At my age I would rather be hard at work doing it as easily as possible.  I bought the top reel from Lori.  Its part # is TT4322ES Alum Hose Reel Full Frame Electric SS Manifold.  It holds 250' of 5/8" Kuri Tec hose.  I advise ordering it with TT7070 Handle Assy 1/2 FPT for 1/2" in case your battery ever dies & TT7222 Hose Reel Guide FF 22" width.  Its a tax write off anyway.

Anthony,

If you are going to use a garden nozzle may I suggest you get one with multiple settings such as: jet, shower, flat, etc. because the variety of streams is good for different distances.  Don't know if you're using the nozzle for spreading the love or for a groundman, but in any case I think a 7 spray nozzle would be more beneficial.  Hope this helps!  Good luck bro!

If you seal the wood with Boiled Linseed Oil it will last for years.

Sorry Peter, but the love will eat that linseed oil up in no time.  Wood and 15% Sh just do not play nice together.  I have had wood totally encased in silicone that still gets eaten up.

Just kidding, but no one I know here in Florida uses a box over their pump, fan or not.

I would think gluing on some heat sinks would be good enough.

Well Im almost done with my rig.  I still need to get a tank for fresh water and I need to get a battery.

I put two ball valves on the inlet side so I can shut of the chem and pull fresh water out of another tank to clean the lines.

Im thinking about adding another T with 2 ball valves on the outlet side of the pump so I can shut off the chem from entering the reel. That way I can use the the pump to transfer the chem from tank to tank.

Do you think driving on bumps and potholes might break the head on the pump?

I hope not I welded the flat bar to the trailer and put a u bolt around the the pipe so the pluming does not move at all its solid. I can put all my weight on the fittings and the only thing that moves is the trailer.

It looks like he has a metal bracket coming up from the floor to stabilize it.

Clyde, we have "electric hose reelers" biggrin We call them ground men biggrin

I don't get my hose reel until tomorrow. So I'm not sure what it looks like. I imagine it has a nut holding on the handle. Right? If so I would think everyone has an electric hose reel. Just slap a socket on the nut and hook up your Dewalt and pull the trigger. Zip Zing you now have an electric hose reel!
