When I first got into roof cleaning, I experimented with every chemical out there and quite a few different gimmicks for rinsing since most of the chemicals didn't really clean the stains very well. One of the rinsing tools I bought was a water broom that hooks up to your pressure washer. Now that I clean roofs the proper way, I needed something to do with the tools I spent all of my money on.

So now I use my water broom to clean people's walkways. It is not as fast as a regular concrete surface cleaner, but it is much smaller and easier to transport.

I'm no expert with cleaning concrete, but here is my method.

1. I use the water broom on the concrete first to get as much dirt and algae off as possible.

2. I then spray the wet concrete down with my roof cleaning mix and let it dwell for about 5 minutes.

3. Then I hit the concrete again with the water broom.

That seems to do a really nice job. I may get yelled at by the pressure washing guys for my process, but it seems to work for me.
