Red does stand out, but I have another company around here that I compete with and they have similar signs that are red. They use that Roof Rover to clean roofs and I don't want people confusing my company with them in any way shape or form.

That is why I chose the blue. I could have ordered red signs for the same price, but I wasn't taking any chances!

I got the signs in today.  They look good.  I'm disappointed in the color though. 

You were right Thomas, they screwed it up.  The blue is not as accurate as I'd like.  They got close on the 18x30's but the 24x36's are too dull (kind of a dull bluish purple)

The PMS 286 I was looking for is more brilliant.

Or maybe I screwed up by choosing too many colors.

I think my mistake was I added gray shadowing to the phone number and website.

This caused the proof to switch from a 2 color process to Full Color

It was only 2 colors when I originally designed it, blue and black.

The gray is where I Fu@ked up, I think.  I'll have to call to confirm. 

I don't know how their print process works.

 

The 24x36's are huge, they look great.

The color is not what I wanted, but that's ok. They still stand out.

I'll get it right next time.

     It might be time to try out a local sign company in your area if you have a decent one. I ran into a guy that works for a large local sign company in my area and questioned him about the problems you guys have had. He claims that he should be able to match that color perfectly. He doesn't understand why you guys would be having that problem. He also said if you use a local company that they should stand behind their work if the colors do not match what you asked for.

     I didn't use their company because they couldn't come close to the price I got, but it might be worth extra money to you guys if you can't get the exact color you want.

     Check out a local company and see if they will guarantee the color for you if you give them the business. It is better than spending money on signs you are not happy with.

My wife is Marketing Director of our local Urgent Care Medical clinic. She is very god at what she does and she has always said..."the simpler the better" & "bright colors catch the eye".
