OSHA Roof Cleaning Guidelines- A GREAT article RE: Safety on the Roof

Attn: All Roof Cleaners!

Some Important OSHA information we ALL NEED to READ

First of all,

I want to give a SHOUT OUT to TROPO, a new roof cleaning apprentice and recent member to the RCIA for noticing this important info.

TROPO saw a topic on roof cleaning that I had overlooked when I posted a recent link to The Cleaner Times Trade Mag.

Great Job of catching that article TROPO.

So good in fact that BECAUSE of TROPO being so observant, I am posting a link directly to this IMPORTANT article.

It's about OSHA Requirements when cleaning ROOFS which was in the MARCH 2007 edition of Cleaner Times.

Again, TROPO, Good Job for catching this so others may benefit by reading this valuable article.

Here is the DIRECT Link-

We have a OSHA store about 15 miles from us. Lots of roofs here do not have any sort of tie off point. A hinged tie off anchor with a big old D ring works great. I just wish the stuff was not so heavy.

Safety harnesses are easy to find. They are not too bulky or heavy. Just a pain to wear, especially on hot days. Many different companies offer equipment
