I got to try out the Amonyx Lo from Lori at Pressure Washer Products and I just don't know what to say first.
That stuff is just AMAZING!!!!
It cut the time it takes to clean the roof in about 1/2 compared to what it used to take me for Roof Cleaning in Corpus Christi Texas. I really like using the No Pressure Cleaning technology so only the roof fungus is cleaned and there is no damage to the roof.
It took longer to setup and put things away than it did to do the job, cool! I want to be as safe as possible and try to prevent any damage to plants so I tarp as much as I can and water everything as much as possible.
I had a Roof Cleaning job here in Corpus Christi Texas cancel and one postpone until next week but I sprayed my own roof shingles and the same thing, hardly any time compared to how long it used to take.
I took some before pictures but I am waiting until after tomorrow for the after pictures, there will be a lot of rain tomorrow so the roof will look great!
Thanks Lori, Diane and Rex at Pressure Washer Products.
Thanks Chris T. for a lot of great research to help make our jobs easier.

That Hang Tite is one of the best chemical innovations I have come across.
Between the time savings, the less amount of mix needed to clean the roofs and the speed that it makes the mix clean, anyone that uses the Hang Tite will make that small investment pay for itself many, many times over in many different ways.
If you have not tried the Hang Tite from Lori at Pressure Washer Products, get a 5 gallon container of it and give it a try, you will not regret it.

Sorry about your luck there,.hard water maybe?? I only used a couple of times on house washes,...but my results were everything I was hoping and more. Used about 1/4 a cup in my mix and DS'ed,...I was very impressed myself. Also SH stable.
Will be getting out to start roof cleaning this week,...finally looks like were gonna have suitable roof cleaning weather here. I am also gonna report back after I use it a few times on roofs.

What is "Hang Tite"?? Is this your personal name for Ammonyx lo?
I took advantage of the 5 gallone sale. It hasn't arrived so I can't comment yet. I know a lot of guys use liquid dawn. But if you need more sticking power, what about liquid luaundry detergent, like Tide? Just thinking out loud.

Tons of guys use Dawn. It's cheap, but not a good surfactant. You are on the right track. Get some 2X concentrate - it sticks! Looking forward to the ammonyx, but don't see changing unless some miracle happens with it!!!
The laundry detergent thing has been discussed on various boards over the years,..simply because it's comparably cheap and compatible with bleach. But,..I never liked it because it just didn't seem to soap up the way I like. almost like it's to heavy,....may need to be constantly churning for better results. I agree laundry detergent seems an "obvious" choice, but it just doesn't seem to be what were after. which is why most guys,.... up till now preferred Dawn. I've used the powdered and liquids,...seemed no matter how much I added it didn't do much. Stick with the ammonyx lo,...or Dawn.
I have talked to Lori about tide or other laundry detergents. what we discussed was that over time the laundry detergent does start to weaken the Sh. Also what Jeff said is true it never gave me the kind of "soapiness" that ammonyx does.

Not to take anything away from anybody selling products, but doesn't everything weaken with time? In particular, heat, time and sunlight weakens the love. If you're not getting the soapiness, then maybe add a tad bit more to get that soapiness? The only reason I'm saying this is because I have used it in my pressure washing for siding and it doesn't take much to create a wall of soap.
Yes everything does weaken over time. thats a true statement but you want the Sh as fresh as you can keep it. also i might have worded it wrong with the soapiness part. i have used tide and others in house wash mix and it does make a great soap(and smells great) but for the roof ammonyx is more the "type of soap" that i want. the way it sticks the way it foams up ect ect...

The difference may be the down streamer is churning it up in the hose an instant before it hits the siding. But with roof application it's not doing enough,...at least it never did for me. And I've tried the "more" solution,...just doesn't do what most roof guys are after it seems. If you ever look inside your washing machine when it's working,...you'll see it's really not that soapy considering the churning. But, All you can do is try it. Don't get the type that is for side loading machines, it's worse yet for soapiness. I wash houses also, and the soap churns wildly through a down streamer. which is awesome,...I love it. I used a 1/4 cup f the ammonyx lo on a house wash,...and was very impressed with what a little could do.
But thats what these boards are for, saving others effort and time by eliminating the things we know isn't the proper way using the optimum products.

Thinking out loud? You posted it in the forum. This is not facebook. Spend time searching or actually trying products.
Thinking out loud? Yes I posted it in the forum. It's a figure of speech.
This is not facebook? Yes I know, and it's also not www.IWannaBeAnA$$.com either. If you're having a bad day, feel free to vent on your facebook page.
Spend some time searching or actually trying products? Actually, I've been trying products since 1994 and I'm always researching.
Just because it shows I'm a roof cleaning ''student", it may just be that I was given two ears and only one mouth. I tend to listen/read more then I talk. And when I do speak, I try to make it something worthy of listening to, unlike your post.
Yea, nothing wrong with opening your mind on here,...because a lot of ideas that may pop into mind have already been tried. Just like the laundry soap idea. always nice to hear others' experience's. Another benefit to using Ammonyx Lo is it's seems more of a purpose made product for us.
